Mrs. Jereatha L. Heriot, a native of Columbus, Ohio, has dedicated the past eight years of her life to raising awareness about premature birth. Inspired by the premature birth of her daughter, she sought to educate others about this critical issue, as well as childbearing illnesses and early prevention strategies for maternal and infant health. This dedication led to the creation of the Faith of A “Poppy” Seed initiative, a tribute to her daughter's journey in the NICU and her commitment to prematurity awareness.

Since 2017, Mrs. Heriot has expanded her platform to a national level, participating in various prestigious pageant systems. Her remarkable achievements in the pageant industry have garnered national and international recognition. Notably, she was the 1st runner-up in the Mrs. Plus America Pageant 2018, where she also won the Miss Photogenic and Best Costume awards. In 2019, she was crowned Today's International Woman Mrs. and received the TIW Woman of the Year award. Furthermore, she was honored with the Today's International Woman Lifetime award in 2020. In March 2022, Mrs. Heriot represented North America in the Miss Plus World Pageant as Miss Plus World North America 2021, where she achieved a top 3 placement in Miss Plus World 2022 pageant. Currently, she is preparing to return to the Miss Plus America system as Mrs. Ohio Plus America 2024, accompanied by her daughter Jariyah, who will participate as Miss Pre-Teen Ohio Plus America 2024.

Recently, Mrs. Heriot has prioritized the creation of an inclusive environment where individuals are not discriminated against based on their physical appearance, personal preferences, or self-expression, particularly in the context of hairstyles. Mrs. Heriot has taken the initiative to promote awareness and education about the C.R.O.W.N. Act and Hair Diversity through her latest platform, "The Crown Experience.”
