Pageants Unlimited Plus
and the Texas Plus America Pageant is proud to support Ladder
Alliance, an innovative non-profit organization, the Ladder
Alliance, founded by Sharon Cox in the Burlington Resources (now
ConocoPhillips) Forth Worth office, is providing women referred
from area shelters with training in office computer use,
interviewing, resume and business writing, motivation and self
esteem.
Each class session begins
with a motivational segment that encourages students to look
inside themselves and find their infinite worth. One of the
greatest rewards of working with the families is to watch the
rebirth of positive self-esteem. Student transformation from an
“I’m not capable” attitude to an “I can” attitude keeps volunteers
and students engaged and excited.
Mission
To prepare women for a life of self-sufficiency by providing
training in basic computer applications and job skills.
Vision
To provide the tools for disadvantaged and abused women to
begin to climb the steps to independence.
Goals

assistance to increasing numbers of students
- To create an emotionally nurturing
environment for our students
- To provide basic training in
specific computer skills
- To provide an introduction to job
procurement and retention

All winners will receive an official commemorative award. The
Texas Plus America Covergirl Winner will receive additional prizes
outlined on the Covergirl page.
For the essay contest, the winning essay will appear in the 2010
Texas Plus America Program Book.
BASIC ENTRANTS REQUIREMENTS:

Must be born female.

Must be a full-time matriculated student
attending a Texas college or university, must be a resident of
Texas or must work in Texas.
- Must be a size 14W or greater
- Must be of good moral character
2010 TOTAL ENTRY FEE:
Entrance Fee $325
(Delegates must also sell 5 patron listings @ $20 each.)
Required Deposit $50
( Local titles are not reserved until the deposit is
paid.)
*Should
a delegate decide to withdraw from the pageant at any time,
under no circumstances shall she be entitled to or receive a
refund on any pageant fees paid either in full or in part
that she and/or any sponsor, family member, or friend has paid..
