Ms Plus America
A close knit family life is very important to Ms. Florida Plus America Kathy Peel. “I still live in the same town I was born in, Bradenton, Florida,” she states. “I am married to Sean Peel who was also born in Bradenton. Two natives found their way to one another.” Peel
was involved in a world of dance, ballet, jazz, tap and acrobatics and for
twelve years of her life and attended the Washington School of Ballet in "At
the age of 14, I joined the Manatee County EMS Explorer Post Cadet program.
This program was devised to give youth a look at the field of Emergency Medical
Services. At the age of 18, I was hired by MCEMS and have worked for them
for the past 14 years," Peel says. She
began as an Emergency Medical Technician and
worked her way to become a
supervisor for As a
supervisor, Peel has the opportunity to teach other paramedics, students
entering the field and youth that are interested in As you can see, Ms Peel learned to respect life at a very young age and because of that, her community effort has been strong. She is an avid supporter of the United way, raising money as the coordinator of her EMS department and continuing to increase donations annually. "I believe in giving to the community in whatever I can do as a paramedic, I've come to realize what has become my platform: "The Importance of Organ Donation" As a paramedic in pre-hospital care and with experience in an emergency room atmosphere, Ms Peel has witnessed the aspects of dealing with death and life. "The relief on a donor's family's face, when they are told how many lives have been saved, as well as the joy on the faces of the family whose loved one will be saved by this generous gift has been very rewarding to me." Ms Peel, no doubt, is an organ donor. A life-saver in life and death. That's Florida's own Kathy Peel. For more information on Organ Donation, please click here
