Dress Code:
Dress Code: Personal
Interview (no pants), Elegant Pant Wear ( dressy after 5
cocktail pant outfit), Evening Gown
Opening
Number:
This will
be a parade of delegates to introduce themselves. Attire is
Jeans/ Denim Capri and shirts as follows: Miss-Light Pink,
Ms-Light Yellow, Mrs-Light Blue—remember it is spring.
Piercing and Tattoos:
Please remove any nose or tongue piercing.
They are a distraction and should not be worn during competition
or appearances. You should cover any tattoo that is large or on
the upper body that shows. They will distract from the elegance
of your attire and may cause you to get lower scores.
Judges are looking at the overall package.
Interview:
Your attire should reflect a serious and
focused woman. A nice suit or church dress is appropriate.
NO PANTS! Choose a color that compliments your skin tone
and a cut that is flattering and looks good sitting down. You
want them to hear what you have to say not be distracted by what
your wearing. This will be 25% of your score. Number on the
right hip. No crown/banner.
Elegant Pant Wear:
This should be a nice pantsuit that you would wear to a cocktail
party. Rhinestones and hats are allowed. The judges are looking
at the entire package so you need to “own” the stage. Pick an
outfit that is your personality and style. This will be 25% of
your score. Number on the right hip. No crown/banner.
Evening Gown:
Your
evening gown should graze the floor. Make sure that it is the
same length all the way around- that it is not shorter in the
back. The color should be appropriate for your skin tone and the
design should be age appropriate. No see-through material,
extreme plunging necklines or mile high slits. Your choice
should represent a regal and stately refinement. This will be
25% of your score. Number on the right hip. No crown/banner.
On Stage
Question:
After you
finish modeling evening gown you will go to the back of the
stage and pick a question out of a bowl on stage and the Emcee
will read it out loud and you will have around 3 minutes to
answer the question. Keep it to the point and don’t ramble. This
will be 25% of your score.
Talent 6pm
Saturday 4-17-10:
This is a competition separate unto itself. It has its own
entry fee. Talent may consist of singing, dancing, poetry
reading, sign language, twirling, playing an instrument, etc.
